About Shannon Story
FAA WATERMARK WILL NOT PRINT ON PURCHASED ARTWORK. Visit my galleries if you don't want to wade through all my pages of artwork. I was five years old when I took my first photograph ... of my mom, dad and our dog (see the photo "Shutter Bug"). I've loved photography ever since. I won my first photo contest while in college and have had my photography in national, regional and local publications. I have had many of my weather photos shown on local television stations. Beginning in July of 2002 when I got my first digital camera; (a Kodak, then later a Olympus, now a Canon), I have taken a photo each day to put in my Photo Journal. I didn't think there would be much of interest EVERY day ... but God proves me WRONG. Each day...

Thanks Deyanira and R Christopher, I'm fascinated by contrails.

great take on the theme, the appearance of shooting downward and the strong abstract quality. nice colors. 'round here we have a little game for cloudless evenings when the contrails are the most visible. we count "live" contrails (jet must still be there). i guess we're along the denver to LA, phoenix and las vegas routes 'cause i can get up to 15 easily. excellent collection.

The force of nature seen through the eyes of a sensitive artist! Well done, Shannon!

Thanks Jacquelyn! I love the illusion that the contrails are going vertical, when in fact they are horizontal. And it shows the varied layers of the jet stream that move at different speeds.

What an Awesome capture! I think those are chem trails streaking down. I wonder if they have anything to do with causing the rest of the scene. V/F Tweet
