I stumbled upon Journeys End Ranch Animal Sanctuary while surfing the internet about rescued mustangs. After reading Poco's wonderful true story, I had to help Poco and his pals. With permission from Catherine Ritlaw, author of the book, "Poco: The Brave Little Burro." I have digitally painted Poco and will give ALL profits to Journeys End Ranch Animal Sanctuary.
Journeys End Ranch Animal Sanctuary is run by president and founder, Catherine Ritlaw. A lifelong animal lover and veterinary technician for many years, she began actively rescuing dogs, cats, pigs, burros and fostering wild horses, focusing her efforts on animals with special needs -- like Poco -- and learning about ways to effect rehabilitation and continued care. Despite being abused, neglected and abandoned by humans, these precious animals are healing and thriving with Catherine's loving care.

I was five years old when I took my first photograph ... of my mom, dad and our dog (see the photo "Shutter Bug"). I've loved photography ever since. I won my first photo contest while in college and have had my photography in national, regional and local publications. I have had many of my weather photos shown on local television stations. Beginning in July of 2002 when I got my first digital camera; (a Kodak, then later a Olympus, now a Canon), I have taken a photo each day to put in my Photo Journal. I didn't think there would be much of interest EVERY day ... but God proves me WRONG. Each day...
