This is stunning. I really like how the background picks up all of the colors in the horses, plus adds a few more into the mix. like

Artist's Description

I don't know their names. They may not even have a name ... but I call them Sugar and Cinnamon. As I was taking pictures of them one early morning, a man and woman stopped their truck and rolled down the window and told me the horses history ... and why they are so thin.

These two are rescue horses, bought in December from kill buyers, on their way to Mexico (?) for slaughter. The people who own the land are the owners of a local veterinary hospital. It has taken them months to get the half starved horses in good shape. They still need to put on more weight, but they are getting better day by day. The equine hospital has saved hundreds of horses from the kill buyers.

FAA WATERMARK WILL NOT PRINT ON PURCHASED ARTWORK. Visit my galleries if you don't want to wade through all my pages of artwork. I was five years old when I took my first photograph ... of my mom, dad and our dog (see the photo "Shutter Bug"). I've loved photography ever since. I won my first photo contest while in college and have had my photography in national, regional and local publications. I have had many of my weather photos shown on local television stations. Beginning in July of 2002 when I got my first digital camera; (a Kodak, then later a Olympus, now a Canon), I have taken a photo each day to put in my Photo Journal. I didn't think there would be much of interest EVERY day ... but God proves me WRONG. Each day...
